"Within the music industry, the Los Angeles Music Awards are known as "the Grammies for independent artists." Previous nominees and contestants include Korn, Everclear, No Doubt, Sugar Ray, Black Eyed Peas and System Of A Down. The prestigious awards night was held during November 2006 at the Henry Fonda Music Box Theatre in Hollywood, California.
